500HO to 850XP

Picking up my new Sportsman 850 XP in Blue Fire this weekend!
I sold my 2012 500 HO because I love the idea of upgrading to the power steering and Fuel injection offered by the new 570's. I have just loved riding my 500 and it has always been willing to do anything I have asked of it. I never felt like I needed more power for my riding needs. I do ride. Mi, Ky, mostly.so the 570 was on my radar. When I started to shop I found an awesome deal on a 2014 XP 850. $8717.00 OTD. So I jumped on it. Now I have the EPS, FI, and 350 more CC's that I can't wait to ride. Purchased in Kalamazoo Mi

I ran the gambit, 500 - 700 - 800 - 850, it was so nice each time getting that power/comfort bump... You will love the 850, it was night and day better than my 800..

Grats, didnt know blue was available in 14, make sure u you use low for 25mph and under, easy to flat spot belts with stock clutching and look under the back right fender and make sure there is some heat reflective material where the pipe is near the fender/seat area, many of us have had melted plastics/seats cuz it was missing.

Good choice ! I made the exact same upgrade ('12 500 to an 850XP EPS)

I was happy with the 500 98% of the time. But had a few cases where I wanted a bit more power (towing a hunting trailer long distances in low gear on the 500 limited to 25 mph - wanted faster). A friend came along that I loaned it to and he really wanted to buy it. "Done deal".

Only 100 miles on the 850 so far. We went for a trail ride. My three buddies on 500's like my last one or a 550. After 90 miles, all were tired and slowing down as I kept going on a tight single machine trail. Rolling along, ready for another 90. We passed by the trucks for beverages and a break figuring we would ride more and they all headed for trailers ! They were done. "My arms hurt". Just before that, I started wondering why I was good to go for more and they were slowing down. When it dawned on me that I had EPS, they didn't. it makes a bigger difference than I thought. I decided it was best to keep my mouth shut. Otherwise I might have been run into the mud, head first and left there for a while.

Great machine, you will enjoy !!

Congrats man! I got a similar deal on the same quad (and it was that blue that caught my eye). You are going to love it. These guys aren't kidding about the EPS, DYNAMITE system. I really started noticing it in the mud and on rutted two tracks. The thing you and Frntflip are REALLY gonna love is when you get 4-500 miles on it (got just a hair over 1000 on mine now), it really seems to start running like scalded dog.
