2004 700 rear axle

I have a 2004 Polaris sportsman. The rear right axle broke near the differential. I purchased an aftermarket axle and after installation the axle slipped out of the rear diff. I re installed it 5 times and the same thing kept happening. I then purchased a Polaris used axle and it stayed in the first install. Now that axle broke by the diff. I ordered a new HD aftermarket axle and I have the same problem. The axle keeps slipping out of the diff. Do I need to order a new Polaris brand axle? Any suggestions?

Do the aftermarket axles have the retaining clip on the end of the splined part that goes into the differential? The axle should snap into the diff and you should be able to tug on it without it coming out easily. Usually takes a good bit of effort to get them out. Is your machine lifted? That could make a difference too.

^^ all of this. And you're getting everything out the right way and putting the new parts in correctly? (https://www.americancvstore.com/technical-help for a basic primer)
