2006 Sawtooth 200 no spark

WHere do I start? I already checked the safety on the throttle and that's not it.

Make sure the handlebar kill switch is in the run position
Unplug the black and white wires from the throttle control
Check for 12v + on the brown wire at the CDI unit
Check for 12v + on the grn/yel wire when the foot brake is pressed

I finally got to work on the 200 today. Crazy week! Anyway, I unplugged the b/w wires and it fired up. I re-connected the wires and it still starts. So, what is that telling us? Thanks for the help

Well, it's back. The owner said he rode the thing once and a few days later it wouldn't start. No spark. With the throttle control wires unplugged It has 12v at the brown wire, on the cdi and 12v at the other one with the rear brake pedal depressed. So, what it that telling me?

Just have to start over - start with a new spark plug, check all the connections, check the voltages, check the continuities, check that the flywheel is in time........... When you find the problem you can fix it

Do you have a service manual? A service manual will not tell you how to fix it, but it will guide you through the procedures to find out what the problem might be.

Okie dokie. Thank you for the help. I'll see if I can download a manual online. I've had pretty good luck with other models.
