Magnum 325 idling but bogging down when gas

I have replaced carb new spark plug.very hard to start,when it starts it will set and idle then you can ride a few minutes then it backfires and dies then restart and you canít give it gas or it will die Iím at my wits end any help would be great

hat was the issue that caused all the changes? Is your carb one of the cheap Chinese knock offs? If it is then look there first. Too often on the forum we see that "fit" your machine doesn't always mean it will work properly with your machine. It might not be jetted right for your location or the needle jet could be the wrong style.

I find that rebuilding the OEM carb gives me much better results.

Hard starting could be a compression issue - check the valve adjustment before going buying more parts - the spark plug was a good investment, but the carb was probably not and the carb might be all your problem now.
