04 700 efi front axel rebuild

I put a cv boot on the right front and the left front cv goes out go figure I think the carrier let a bearing come out I don't really know. Anyway can these be rebuilt they look like they can but didn't know if it would be better to just by a new front axel.

You'll have to get it out and apart to clean it up and see how bad its worn. You can put a new cv on it or just replace the whole axle and rebuild the old one to keep as a spare.

That's how I usually do it for my machines if the axles have quite a few miles on them. Its good to have a spare or two (front/rear) on the shelf ready to go. Then anytime you cut a boot you can just swap axles in a few minutes and go riding. I'll reboot the other axle later while piddling around the garage with nothing else to do for the next time.
