'06 500 HO instrument cluster

Hi all,

Just picked up a new to me Sportsman. My first EFI. About 20 miles into a trip the Speedometer stopped working and everything on the cluster but RPM stopped too. Next day I went to check it but everything was working fine. Ride #3 and about a mile in it went out again.

Thought it might be a loose wire under the headlight cowl or water... 2 days later I took the headlight cowl off and nothing loose. Gear indicator works, RPM works, speedo needle won't move, trip will reset to 0 but not climb, hours and milage don't seem to be moving either.

Oh, last ride we were on I swapped with my wife and let her go out front, the work lights would come on for a while and then go out too. This is why I started thinking wet wires.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
