Battery died after 3 years... Battery suggestions???

I have a 2016 570 Sportsman and my battery died.... Way out in the middle of nowhere in the mountains.
Luckily there was a guy with a 1000 Razor to tow me back...
Battery was pretty much empty of water... Not sure what happend there. I pretty much baby the thing and it stays in a heated garage over winter.

Anyway... I'm pretty sure polaris won't warranty a battery even though I have an extended warranty.

Any suggestions for a better / best battery?

I don't use one in the summer... Usually stays on a trickle charger when I pack it up for the winter.

Chk the charger. Trickle type chargers do just that and don't shut off even after the battery is fully charged. Float chargers regulate themselves and turn on and off depending on their need.

Most likely the charger overcharged your battery and that's why the battery was low on water..

If the battery was dry you'd better check your charging system. 570 VRs are notorious for failure and often overcharge which will boil your battery dry.

Go with the AGM battery. Odyssey does not have the cold-cranking capacity (cold crank amps) of the AGM battery.

What type of construction is the Odyssey battery? AGM is a construction (stands for Absorbed Glass Mat - a glass mat is placed between the plates to better withstand vibration and shock) - I use Yuasa AGM batteries.

Yeah, I called my dealer today and they hinted to this...
If it was the charging system then battery and everything will be covered by my extended warranty.

Do not put another tiny motorcycle battery in your machine.
It is an easy fix to modify the battery holder to fit a lawnmower battery.
I use Autozone not NAPA
They are twice as powerful and built for rough use.
You can crank and crank that starter no matter what.
They cost less as well.
3 years is a good run for any battery.
Mud in your eye!
