2010 Polaris 500 H.O wont accelerate

I recently bought a used atv from a guy and it seemed to run alright at the time. The atv only has 1100 miles at the moment. My issue is the bike starts and idles fantastic! It runs perfect right up to 20km/hr or so at roughly 4500rpm..but as soon as you push the throttle any more it bogs and wont accelerate any further. The throttle is only maybe 1/4 way open to get to that speed. Now if you slowly feather the throttle it will get to 6500rpm and get passed the initial 4500rpm but its not anywhere near responsive enough. The thing is when its cold it was reving up fine perfectly..no bogging or anything..issue only seems to come up when the machine has been running. Ive changed air filter and sock, oil and filter, and fuel filter. Im leaning on a carb issue but was just wondering if anyone else had a similar issue with a fix. Thanks a bunch in advance!!

Sounds like the belt is slipping. Does it rev right up in P or N??

It did off the start when i started it cold. The idle was set way too high at the 4500rpm mark and i had it reving up full throttle in neutral. Now that its been running for a while it wont rev up at all passed that 4500rpm in P or N. Should eliminate the belt slippage i believe?

Thinking its a plugged high speed jet? Improper float setting? Needle worn? Seat o ring worn?

Clean the carb - it runs fine when cold because the enrichener is probably still open

My battery is only showing 11.5 Volts...could that be a contribution or the issue?

No, but at 11.5 volts its about 1/2 discharged and needs a good, long, slow charge at no more than 2 amps. Even lower would be better. Use a good automatic charger if available.

Now if the choke cable adjustment right at the carb is screwed all the way in is that it? Choke is all the way open and now shutting?

Based on the pic, the enrichener will be closed when the holder is screwed into the carb body. You might operate the enrichener to ensure the cable and plunger move freely.

Now check to ensure the carb holder is not cracked and leaking vacuum - if the holder is in good condition, proceed with the carb cleaning
