Its probably whoever submitted the lowest bid. Same thing with Harley, they want you to buy the overpriced H-D oil. I ran the H-D stuff til the warranty was up then switched. 23 yrs later its still going strong.
If guys want to spend more and run the Polaris oil that's fine. But you don't have to.

pretty sure the KFC recipe was leaked online awhile back. remember reading the guy being sued for about about 20 million dollars though. so I hope he ate his fill of chicken before they took him away in a KFC van with tinted out windows and beat the hell outta him

I was looking at the various amsoil oils and they end up costing about $13+ a quarts so wouldn't be saving any $ atall on oil changes..

I found a company called motorex who make oils for ktm race teams and various others they have a 4-cycle 5w-50 oil for about $40 per gallon with:

Fully synthetic, high-performance 4-stroke motorcycle oil with excellent wet clutch performance
High friction-coefficient
Decreases oil consumption; protects against wear
No moly additives
Specifications: JASO MA/API SG/ACEA A3

I had a 3 year extended warranty added to my 2012 orange madness 500 for $600 I don't really want to keep paying so much for oil that damn long though :-x

$40 per gallon = $10 per quart. I buy PS4 for $9 per quart. I'm not seeing the savings there.

PS4 for me. It's what the mfr recommends, it's decent oil, and it costs roughly the same per machine to change the oil. Mobil 1 0W-40 would be my alternative choice, especially in the cooler temps.

LOL! To each his own but it makes me laugh to consider that we spend many thousands of dollars to buy and modify these machines, and yet we cringe at the thought of spending literally a couple extra dollars per oil change for PS4.

Are we that cheap...or is it that we just don't like being told what to do?
