2007 Sportsman 500 electrical?? issue

Info: 2007 Sportsman 500HO EFI 4x4

Current issue: last week when riding the atv shut off for no reason turned the key off and when I turned it it cranked over and fired with no problem but the clock inside the pod was back to the default blinking 1200.

I noticed yesterday I had no reverse lights, checked the bulbs and they work, no juice back there when in reverse.

Today I went to unload from the trailer and with it in park I hit the key and it didnt crank, as if its in gear and the N saftey is stopping it. I pull started it and noticed that everything on my guage pod works EXCEPT the gear selecte identification, I have no lights at all for any gear P R N L or H. When in 4wd the light doenst come on and the 4wd doesnt work unless I press the yellow over ride button. I am assuming it is becuase the pod isnt reading that its in gear to let the axle in guage up front.

When going regardless of what gear it sin I have to hodl the over ride button to let the engine rev, it cuts it out as if its in reverse.

I have an idea that the sensor on the transmisison may be bad but I have no clue forsure. Anything else it could be?

Ok, to make it clear it will start with the key if the parking brake is on like it is supposed to.
If I do not have it on it will not start in P or N and it doesnt display what gear it sin on the cluster.

If I unplug the cluster it will start with out the brake set regardless of the gear its in.

I have tried to get into the diagnostic mode on the cluster to see what the ohms readings are for the selecter howeve rI cant get it to go in to diag mode. Maybe its becuase its not showing that its in N?

Ive searched all over for the selector resistor and cant find it anywhere. I'm wondwering if somehow it got unplugged or a wire pinched or soemthing... but I can tlocate it anywhere!
