Rear left wheel "click-Click-Click" in reverse?

I do not know the part making the noise, so I posted this as a new thread. For a while my 02 Sportsman 400 4x4 makes a distinct, loud, "click, click, click" on the left rear wheel when I put the ATV in reverse.

Does anyone know what this is? Is it easy to fix for someone with some mechanical ability?

Thanks,
Bill

Are CV joints hard to rebuild? Do they require anyy special tools? I see the part is under $100 on the net. Thanks for your help.

More than likely you have a bad cv joint. You will need a pair of snap ring pliers, the band tool to remove and install the bands on the boots and a rubber mallet. If you have a service manual it should have everything you need in it.
