old composit racks....

the racks and bumpers on my old xpress will kill you with fiberglass sticking you. whats the best way to re-finish these without adding a ton of weight?

this is a 4x2 with a 2 stroke and some mods....so i don't want a lot of weight.

what do ya'll think? thanks....

I think I'd consider coating them with this: Dee Zee DZ97908 Spray In Bed Liner; L ALL - Rakuten.com Shopping

I'd try brushing on some quality varnish...we have to coat our fiberglass stepladders annually for the same reason. If you use a quality "spar varnish" or other outdoor varnish, it includes UV stabilizers and should last longer.
