New tires on stock wheels and suspension

I’ve decided to get some new tires for my 06 sportsman 700. I went with a set of Kenda executioners, 27/10/12 in the front and 27/12/12 in the rear. I’m positive that the back tires will clear but I’m not sure about the fronts. This is because the stock tire is 26/8/12 and they sit pretty close (maybe a little more than and inch) to the shock tower. Do you think I would need to run a small spacer in the front?

You will need more than a little spacer. You are a full inch wider on the inside. A 26x9 would rub the tie rod ends so your 10" will have some interference issues. Usually though a 1/4" spacer is enough to clear with the 9" so a 1" or 1.5" should be enough to clear your new tires.

You will need 1 inch spacers on the front wheels if you stick with the stock wheels.

When you get the tires mounted up you can play with washers on the wheel studs to figure your spacer thickness.
