I have Stage 2R. I like them, but found their limits the first time I went to Hatfield with them (we go 4-6 times per year). I made a video of our riding and sent it to Sebastian at Elka...his response was "that is not trail riding, that is extremely aggressive trail riding...you need STage 4's". I would have to agree....it is not possible to have the Stage 2r's setup to be supple at low speed and still handle high speed g out type hits. The stage 4's with separate high and low speed compression is needed on the Brute imo. Since the Brute has such limited suspension travel due to the geometry, that amount of travel better be as good as it gets if you ride hard.

That being said, I love the raw low end power of the brute and the instant hit it has off the line, but I am going to sell it here soon and likely get a scrambler 1000 LE with Fox shocks or wait for the sportsman 1000LE (I would assume it will be coming soon)
