425 Magnum 4x4 sitting up for awhile

My brother bought this 425 Magnum new in 1996. He passed away a couple years ago, but it has been sitting in the shed for a few years before he got sick.
I wanted to get it out and get it running again. I cleaned the carb and put a new fuel pump on it and it started up and is running real good.
I changed the oil and filter. I'm going flush and replace antifreeze.
What else do I need to check and replace to make it reliable?
Thanks for the help and this forum,
Scott

Sorry about your brother....Lets see what we can do to help you. The only other things I can think of off hand would be new spark plug and change transmission oil. If this is a 4x4 you will want to look at the rear differential oil and front hub oils too. I am guessing that you already checked the obvious things like air filter, wheel bearings and tie rod ends. So if everything else checks out go ride!

Thanks for the reply stave7119,
I,m going to replace all the fluids and lubricants that is changeable.
Is there any way to make sure the coolant is circulating? That was one thing I was concerned about.
It only has about 1000 miles on it and everything seems tight.
Thanks Again

About the only way to be sure is by temperature. Get a non contact thermometer and start the engine. Temp should climb when you check the engine but be lower on the radiator. Let it idle and feel the radiator hoses. Once the thermostat opens both the hoses should feel the same. Leave it idle and keep checking the temp. Around 205 degrees or so the fan should come on and the temp should go down to around 160-180 and start the process over.
