98 magnum 425 12v powersource

My 98 Magnum 425 has a 12v powersouce coming out just under the taillight. Can I plug my battery tender into that? It has the same connection. I did for about a minute, it looked like it was ok, then I unplugged it and used the alligator clips. It sure would be handy to use the powersource that is there.

Anybody have any idea if that is ok or not?

Mine has the same thing. Been charging it that way since I got it.
