And btw I think your wrong. After a little research I believe the cases can be separated with the head in place.

You can remove the crankshaft without removing the head that's how I did it.

What position does the engine need to be in to view the marks via the timing chain opening? Number 1 TDC on compression stroke?

Aligned perfect after almost 5000 miles.
Anybody know the valve clearance specs for these? May as well check it seeing I’ve got it open.

Can you explain the procedure for these engines or a link to set it? The manuals I’ve found online say .006 for intake and .009 for exhaust but I didn’t think it was correct. I couldn’t even get the .006 in the exhaust side.

Can anyone confirm balancer shaft timing? The service manual says 1 way but shows another with DOT alignment.
