A-arm swap answer for jeff3541108

hey jeff3541108, my answer would be too big to respond on your wall, plus this info might help someone else.

your question:

Quote:
Hello bud I see you really no your atvs & parts. What I am looking for is I have a 2005 polaris scrambler. I was looking to replace the front right side a-arm mine has a small dent in it . Do you no what years are interchangeable with my 05 how old can go.
my answer:

your a-arms should be yellow, correct? if you are not worried about the color of the a-arm, then any of these machines will have the exact same a-arm, minus the color

2004 ATP 500 4X4
2004 ATP 330 4X4
2003 SCRAMBLER 500 4X4
2004 SCRAMBLER 500 4X4
2005 SCRAMBLER 500 4X4

2007 SCRAMBLER 500 4X4
2008 SCRAMBLER 500 4X4
2009 SCRAMBLER 500 4X4
2010 SCRAMBLER 500 4X4
2010 TRAIL BLAZER 330
2010 TRAIL BOSS 330

and if you are looking one that is yellow, its these machines:

2003 SCRAMBLER 500 4X4
2004 SCRAMBLER 500 4X4
2005 SCRAMBLER 500 4X4

there you go, those are your pickings....

maybe, that i dont know, but im going to guess no. it is not the same part #, so something is different between the two a-arms. it might be something minor that wont cause any problems, or it could be something major like how it mounts up to the frame, or longer or shorter in length. you can try it, but i cant tell for sure if it will fit from the computer

Thanks Do you no if a 1999 scrambler a-arm is diff than my 05 a-arm the only thing it seams to be able to See online view is where the plastic shield that bolts on to the arm. Some have 3 bolts and others have 2 bolts. I dont care about the color

you cant really trust the parts fiche diagrams as they not always represent everything properly. they are kind of a generic stock photo polaris uses when they can. the parts numbers are different, so i dont know what the difference is though. i did notice the bushings are different numbers as well, so there might be a difference in diameter of the a-arm.

the only way to know is to compare the a-arms in your hand, or see if anyone has specifically tried this.
