I also have GURU Front and Rear Bumpers for both my Bikes - but mine does not have the mesh so I had John add mounting tabs for me. It fits the 12" LED light perfectly and is tuck back far enough so that the bumper will protect it. These suckers are expensive but man they are nice and well worth it IMO.

I wasn't wild about mounting mine up on the lid, but now I'm fine with it. Well protected, and the pod light shines right over it. The higher you mount it, the fewer shadows on the trail surface you have to deal with when riding at night.

I like it. Thought about doing a front rack extender and mounting a bar to that.

I mounted mine right to the lid. It's actually a solid mount, with no vibration of the light bar. The holes I drilled are in front of the seal around the box, so no worries about water getting in there. As a bonus, the weight of the light helps hold the lid open when you need to get in the box for something.

Update for you guys. I put this little project by the wayside and decided to concentrate on a light for the back of the machine. I bought some 6.5" lights on amazon (came in a two pack). Mounted one to the rear of the machine and works great. In was going to sell the other one to my neighbor but while messing around today I got it to fit behind the front brush guard. I used a couple L brackets and mounted it to the plastic grill just to see if it would fit. I put the brushguard back on and it is lightly pressing on the light. Just enough so it will never move. Took it out in the dark and surprisingly it is aligned quite well. Which is good because it cannot be adjusted. I still might sell it and get a larger one but for now I am super happy. It doesn't cast a shadow at all unlike the head lights.

The 12" version led also from Amazon fits the front Guru bumper perfectly. That's what I have and love it.

I think that's what I am going to get. This 6.5" is bright but its a flood beam so it lacks the distance. I went with the Nilight brand. The mounting bracket is better for my situation. I am also considering a pair of 4" square lights. I think those would look nice.

Here's the 12" bar. Barely fit! I installed an on-off-on rocker switch in the old choke hole. So i can run my front or rear light bar off one switch.
