What I meant to say was those of you with the X2s, if you hunt/carry a rifle- how did you attach your gun boot? I'm making a custom mount for mine as the dealer nor "Ask Polaris" could be of service.

I'll post pics of mine when work subsides... but then again, when that happens, I'm off to go moose hunting.

To be clear, Polaris does not offer one anymore. Older X2 models had one that mounted to the front lock-n-ride hole and had a crazy piece on the end the slipped between the gaps in the dump bed rail. Real cheesy design that rattles very bad. Hence why they don’t sell them anymore.

I am building a custom one for the newer style Kolpin Stronghold scabbards. Their new design IMO is their best yet.

Again, this is a call-out to the X2 crowd to see what they’ve come up with. I prefer to NOT use the gun holder type on the front rack- the gun boot or scabbard provides rain/mud protection and does t leave my $2K rifle exposed to the elements and provides roll-over protection (it works- don’t ask me how I know) 😉

Here’s some pics of my buddies with the older style mount. Notice the rear of the bed where you have to slip the bracket into the gap in the rail. There’s a lot of “slop” there and it rattles. He uses lots of bungy cords to keep it tight.
