Headlights 2017+ XP1000

Hi there,
What are you guys doing for headlight upgrades for 2017 and 2018 Sportsman XP 1000? I tried to install an LED bulb, other than the small driving light bulbs, and it sticks out too far on the back and collides with the front storage bin. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

From what I can see, most LED bulbs stick out too far on the back.

Thank you,
Tom

Best bang for the buck would be a light bar. I know that wasn't specifically what you asked but that was by far the best lighting improvement ive made. Wasnt a big fan of the look at first but when i saw how bright they were i was sold

I use 880 HID kits from ebay.

I have 3 x 100 Watts. LOVE IT.
Can barely tell when I turn on my 12" cree bar!

The HIDs get even brighter after running for a couple minutes after turning them on!

The 100w isn't to hot for the headlight housing ?

i have not had an issue.
however 35, 50 and 75 watts are also available on ebay.

I do get a voltage warning if I have all 3 x 100w HIDs AND hand/thumb warmer on at the same time....

buy extra bulbs if you are rough on your machine. some cheap bulbs break easy. i have found some good ones, cant find them now.

You inspired us. We did our first night ride last night. Crazy spooky feeling, easy to get lost. I'm so glad we had our helmet lamps. We only have the stock set up on my quad and hubby's Polaris 800. Hubby went farther into the dark than I. He went to the mountain top and even got into snow while I made camp fire for dinner. Crazy! But we're going to do it again tomorrow!

Try these guys. Have heard good things about them. They are only on Facebook.

I priced the 3 bulbs from them for $75.00 plus shipping.

Thank you. Do you have enough clearance between the back of the bulb and the front storage bin?

Thanks,
Tom

I have not got them yet, but saw a YouTube video on them and looked like no problem. Let me see if I can find the video again.
