Indy or 1000 owners

Looked at the 1000 today at the dealer. Even though it is a nice looking machine it is way to much for the type of riding I do since I gave up the need for speed years ago. My question has to do with the exhaust sitting so close to the rear tire. Is anybody concerned it is so close and does the tire get heated up with it being so close.

i was worried as well when i saw my exhaust glowing red at the back . there is a mount on the exhaust that isn't covered by the heat shield " at the back " where it glows, as for the rest the heat shield does its job, as i have checked and checked the area for heat as this was my concern , looks like Polaris has figured this out well ;P)
