Thumbs down stalling when standing to one side or in drive

i have an 01 sportsman 500 and it starts up fine and idles fine but when i go to get on it, it cuts off or if im already on it and put it in gear it cuts off i cleaned the carb adjusted the pilot screw i did every thing does any one know whats going on?

it sound like a short on your wires, its not carb related

thats what im thinking to but now i gotta figure out where its shorting out at its really getting on my nerves i worked on it all day today but hope i figure it out and dont have to spend to many $
