Wheel bearing brands

Hey guys. Need to change out at least my front wheel bearings and a arm bushings on my 12 sportsman. I have seen several different types online.

The one that seems to be the best deal is all balls!! Does anyone have experience with this all balls brand? I know they are a overseas knock off but I have read good and bad reviews. Anyone have any experience with these on sportsmans?

If they are junk, what else are you recommending?

Allballs, boss bearing, and quad boss are all about the same. I tried epi once and because I was in a pinch I installed a set of their rear bearings well they didn't have seals, needless to say those bearing failed quick.

As for bushings Jccapri a member on here makes stout set. I think you can order them through his company PV3.com. Heard garage products makes good bushings as well.

I bought EPI bearings and was not impressed. I tapped them in with a hammer and the seals/cages popped out the back side. All Balls stayed put for me.

Some guys swear by using a special tool to force grease through the entire bearing and claim that this helps them live longer.

Actual bearing brand would be Timken/fafnir. American made and the best out there. Oe brand on my 99 sportsman and still going strong! Other quality bearing brands are SKF, nachi, nsk, ntn, koyo, fag. These have been around forever and most of these brands are japanese. Maybe all of them. I wouldnt buy any bearing with china on it. Even romanian bearings are better. You could get the number off your bearing and shop it from an actual bearing shop and know what brand you are getting. Prob cheaper too. Cheap bearings may be ok in a quad, most of my experience is with cars, sleds, and industrial equipment

^ this is all true. But unfortunately up until now , nobody has a cross reference to a Timken bearing. So you are stuck with Polaris, EPI, or all balls.

Those are for his '12 800 Sportsman, they fit ALOT of other models as well. Parts breakdowns list the sizes of bearings, just takes some time searching around to find the right ones. I think it's even the same rear as far back as my '99 and nearly all the front bearings since they switched from the Hilliard hubs...i will paste in model fitments tomorrow from my computer if someone hasn't by then.
