Question power module different pt numbers

hi all, new to forum, i have a 2006 500 with power module part number 4011240 are any other power modules from the same quads with different part numbers interchangeable? for eg 4011517. i am in australia and wonder if the different part numbers might be for some stupid emissions requirement and all of the different modules for this model will work?

If the plug is the same the module from a similar machine might work... BUT, your machine is an X2 model given the number you posted. As such, it has "turf mode" with a lock out differential in the rear. That controller module makes it work. A module from a different machine without turf mode wouldn't let it operate but would likely be the same otherwise.

I think the turf mode is a separate module?

I'm just kinda guessing mate. The only difference in your machine and similar models is turf mode so I suspect that's why the difference in the part number. Can't tell you for sure.
I think your X2 is the only model with turf mode in that year range.
