Question 1995 Sportsman 400 starter

Anyone know if there is a negative wire going to or from the starter. Just put a new one in and there is a spot for the negative, but the old one didn't have one attached and I don't see one hanging in the psot.

I never saw one with a negative wire to the starter or a starter motor with a neg post, but there is a ground wire from the frame to the engine. I'd like to know who made the starter motor or see a pic of it.

Yep, I got that figured out using the wiring diagram and common sense. Now I got to check the starter relay and starter button.

I think some machines may have a ground terminal under one of the starter mounting bolts but never saw a starter that actually had a ground terminal on it.
