Exclamation left front wheel not pulling

ok this is my first post.
I am working on my 1996 Polaris sportsman 500.
the right front wheel will not pull.
I Do have 12 volts going down to the hub to magnetize the hub so that the plate will stick and hold the Hillard
however the magnetic field seams to be weak.
when the awd button is pushed and lit up the ring sticks but does not seam to be really strong.
I can turn it with my hand somewhat easily and pull it off the coil.
is this supposed to be very strong magnet?

I took it apart several times and can`t find a problem.
anyone have this issue?
I thought I had it once working and it seams to work when in the air but when the tire is actually pulling on the ground it`s doing nothing.
I have watched several videos and was thinking I need to replace the hub coil. but my issue with that is will the coil get weak or just not work at all when it is bad?

I really hope that someone chimes in.
I talked to several dealers and they told me it was to Old for them to work on it..

The magnet is not real strong - the armature plate has to slip when the wheel is turning - take the left side apart and compare the field strength by turning and pulling the left side vs the right side - maybe it just needs a new armature plate or different oil in the hub.
