One of the rear brake lines has rubbed the inside of the wheel. Now has a hole in the line. I cannot find a replacement. Its the one that has a banjoe end and other end is a female that goes to the hard steel line. Anyone have a part number. Dont care if its aftermarket or universal.
The OEM brake lines look like a complete nightmare... No reason for it. No way in I'll ever re-install this abortion on my machine if they rot out on me.
I have a Mastercool Hydraulic Brake flaring tool. I'd just cut the hardline and double flare on a standard or metric inverted flare ferrule and buy a Spiegler custom motorcycle brake hose to fit the caliper and inverted flare line fitting.
How in the world do you guys pull the axle out? It wont budge. I have pulled , tuged, soked with kano , tapped with a hammer on the hub. Is there a trick?
LOL...Yep, the trick is persistence. Actually, a slide hammer, a piece of chain and a muffler clamp seems to be the easiest for axles that are stuck solid. Clean the splines good and use anti-seize to reassemble and it will be easy next time.
It's a lot easier to put the bands on with the right tool than to have them loose and leak. A little antisieze or grease on the splines when you install the new one will help removal later in life.
Got er done ! Thanks ALL for the replies {very helpful} I will say OEM parts are way to high.
