CV Joint Bolt 97 sportsman 400
While replacing front wheel bearings I've discovered that the single nut at the end of the axle that essentially holds the entire apparatus together has no slot for a cotter pin and no hole is in the axle. I've never ran into this on any 4-wheeler before. The nut has a slot in it like it may have taken a key at some point but has since flew out. Is this standard application for this machine or perhaps the previous owner used an aftermarket CV axle? Any suggestions or assistance would be great, I'm puzzled.
