This is an efi system will start sometime and not others. What am mean will not start will just click starter. Checked starter it is fine. The efi box seems to be working also. My concern is the silver box under front rack. How do you check it to see if working properly or can you any help would be great full thanks in advance
Ya. Every now and then starter and selonid are working. Just like I've said even after one pull start I loses power to everything. Even with my jump pack on it.900 crank amp jump pack so I know it got the power it starts my boat motor
The box you are talking about is known to be a problem on the 06's and at one point there was a factory recall as ours was replaced some years back. I believe it also has self resetting breakers in it as the X2's do not have fuses.
check if you have 12 volt on you ''silver box'' then check the voltage on your ignition,if there is only 4 or 5 volt your ''silver box'' is probably gone
If the starter isn't cranking the engine over it's not a ECU { silver box } problem , it's in the wiring , starter solenoid , starter or circuit breakers .
where"s the rectifier and voltage regulator on this?
Also ,where is the hall effect sensor?
