  1. ATV Repair and Maintenance
    I have a 2000 Sportsman 500 6x6 and the bearings went out on the rear axle. I took it apart and got everything back together, (Not much to the rear axle on the 6x6's) except I can't get the final snap ring on there. I am about a millimeter away and can not pound it in. Anyone have any tips?

    I am trying to replace the bearings on my 2000 Sportsman 500 6x6's rear axle. Nice thing, there is not much to the rear axle. I have everything back together, but I can not figure out how to get the snap ring in to place on the spacer. I can get it within a millimeter but it will not budge...
