winch mount

I have a 2001 Sportsman 500 H.O., that I want to put a winch one. If anyone has the same model and has installed a winch, I would like some info regarding the mount and where to install the mount as well as if I should consider replacing the OEM battery for a more powerful battery?

Do I need a winch bracket for a winch on my 450 HO or does it come with one? What else do I need - 1. Winch 2. Controller 3. Wires Is there a kit, who makes one? Any info I can get will help thanks!

Hello All, I am having issues installing 3500# winch on my 2015 570 Sportsman. The issue is the wire connections on top of the winch hit the radiator and will not allow the top to slide back far enough to install the bolts. Thoughts? Could I be installing it wrong? Thanks in advance!!! Rob

I got a winch for my scrammy today,but when i got it home and tried to install it,the wiring was all wrong. My dealer sold me a winch for a sportsman, part number 2880433. it bolts on fine but the electrical connections don't seem to be there. Am i missing something? Do they have a specific...

Does anyone know of a winch mount out for the scrambler 1000? I already bought the winch. The only problem is I can't find a mount for my atv. I'm thinking the scrambler 850 or sportsman mount would work but want to know for sure before I spend the $$. Any help would be great! Thanks!
