I have a 2005 sportsman 500 HO and I recently replaced the starter bindex and cleaned the flywheel and inside the recoil starter. Now when I rev the engine it starts to rattle and sounds like its coming from inside the recoil starter. I can not figure out what is making the noise.

You cleaned off the grease and grime that worked as a cushion between parts..... now you hear a rattle / vibration? :dunno:

Assuming you got everything installed correctly and tightly?

Did you notice this new noise right away after reassembly... or some time after?

yeah the noise what right after i did it, an im pretty sure everything is installed right i know everything is tight
