Hey everyone, I’ve been following the site for awhile mainly old Polaris tech and trying to self diagnose my ATV. Installed new Tbap harness from OTB.
Anyway, I’ve been having this issue with my ATV for a little while and I’m having a hard time figuring out what it could be. My idling rpm is excellent I don’t have any issue or sounding lik it’s going to die out but it’s never stalled out either. Around 1100-1200 rpm to be exact. But when I press on the throttle it makes this ugly sound like it’s either not getting enough fuel or it’s getting to much. or something. Like I said above I replaced the T-Bap from OTB and it cleared my 41,45 codes up. Still the same problem. When I take the air box off it still runs like that even having the throttle body boot off. (TB boot was cracked as to why I took it off to see if that was the case.) I ordered new plugs and fuel injectors for it so if that fixes it I’m hoping it does I’ll update this thread.

Also, when I get everything out back together I will update it with fuel pressure.

So a couple things: fuel how old?? When you say "new" injectors whats that mean?? OEM?? If so new leads on them I assume??? New plugs is an excellent start but more for the condition the engine is running is what the old ones will tell you. Also get a new set of plug wires!!!

So the 4 wheeler has been sitting in our Quonset at the ranch for like 5 years because the rear differential ring gear was toast. I got it for free as a project. I drained the tank as much as I could and ran a bottle of sea foam down it and filled it up. (I know very stupid not to drain the whole tank first) I’ve used only 91 octane in it since and have ran quick shot by AMS OIL through it and it ran like a taped ape.
When I recently got on after about 2-3 weeks sitting it started to run funky. Also, I filled up my truck same time as my ATV.so I know it’s not a bad batch of fuel.

the injectors are from your injector shop out of Florida. Said they’ve been in businesssince 09 and have an A+ rating from BBB and have a lifetime warranty on them. Bosch genuine injectors 4 hole just the same as factory. Once I get the plugs and injectors in I’ll start it up and if it’s doing the same thing I’ll video it and put the link on here.

Hello everyone, thankyou for stopping by this thread but for now i did get the problem solved with new injectors and plugs. The only problem i had was with the harness for the FI's. Polaris and their infinite wisdom epoxy the whole inside and around so it got pretty torn up. I even used a heat gun, a vice, and worked the edges. So i just re epoxy the connections as parts stores didnt have the correct harness, and i dont want to shell out another $250.

But any way thankyou so much and have a blessed life!
