I've been hearing a grinding noise (sounds like when you try to put a car in gear without pressing the clutch down properly) when I'm being stupid with the bike.

When I'm doing a doughnut/donut and giving it full throttle it'll make the noise, or if i'm giving it a lot of gas going over/out of a steep hole. That's the only time I've heard it so far. I can't tell where it's coming from yet but a friend said they think they heard it coming from the rear differential. I have a sneaky feeling it may be something to do with strain on the suspension.

Any suggestions before I start tearing into it? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Did you find out anything. My son's makes what sounds like the same noise. His seems to do it when the rear wheels loose contact with the ground... which with an 11 year old is quit often. Just curious. Thanks Alan
