MY '06 Ranger has what I think is the wrench light. It comes on after running for some time in the hills. I can turn the engine off, wait few minutes, and it will go off. Has plenty of oil and water. Any suggestions?? I do not know what brings on this "wrench light". Thanks

the wrench light is simply a dummy reminder light that comes on when the reverse countdown timer has reached 0 to remind you it is time for the next service.

you can reset it between 1-100 hours, or turn it off by going into diagnostics mode on the machine. usually you want to set it to 50 hours after each oil change, just to remind you when the next one is do.

it is not a "service engine light" or associated with any type of problem
