Will a 25x8x12 and 25x10x12 original bighorn fit on stock rims without spacers or new rims. I know they are stock size but hear bighorns run big. This is on a 09 sportsman 500.

How do they compare to 2.0 for trail riding and hunting? Where I hunt I can't afford a puncture but i don't want to loose a lot of power on the trail. A minuscule amount does not matter to me. I know the bighorn will wear better.

I don't know specifically for the 500, but I have a 2009 Sportsman 800 EFI H.O. and I'm planning on getting the run flat bighorns. My buddy is the main Polaris mechanic in town, and he didn't mention anything about rubbing if I stayed with the stock size. He also didn't seem to think that the heavier tire will rob any noticeable power from me, I'm not sure the difference in a 500 though. I do the same riding you do it seems, and he said it would be the perfect tire and will outlast the quad.

As far as I have ever read here, the 25x8x12 will fit the front on stock rims without issues.

Rather be riding, instead I'm using Tapatalk
