Hi,

I'm new here.
I'm trying to help a friend.
HE has a polaris sportman xp eps 2009
he needs to release the ASM-CLUTCH,ONEWAY,REV "1322809".
He cant figure out to release the rod like shaped piece of metal passing through it. Is it released by turning clockwise / unticlockwise or a press is needed to press it out?

Thanks in advance

Uhhhhh... Looks like time for a new clutch to me. The spider (triangle piece of aluminum) is threaded onto the shaft. The shaft is supposed to be permanently attached into the sheave that isn't there. Normally you would lock the sheave into a holding fixture and use a special socket to remove the spider that is torqued to 235 ft/lbs. I haven't had to rebuild any XP primary clutches yet but being that the retaining bolt is reverse threaded, I would assume the spider may be too.
