Hello all, new to the site. I am in need of some info if anyone can help.

I just finished refurbishing a 1986 Trail Boss 250 and need some carb settings. I installed a new carb from Polaris, and have a 145 main in it. Need to know the factory setting for the air screw if anyone knows it as well as Pilot jet size.

Thanks for any help you can provide for an old but not dead Polaris ATV.

This is real old school and I just happen to have one. The machine should have a 145 main jet, 50 pilot jet, the needle should be clipped in the middle. Air screw should be at 1 full turn from lightly seated position. The machine should idle at 800 rpm. Hope this helps....

DDD,

Yes it is old school. Use it mainly for working on the property and deer hunting. Gets the job done.

Thanks a million, I will double check everything to verify it is correct.

Thanks again,
