I've got this Trail Boss that I bought for a parts bike for my Scramblers but its actually pretty nice, has a rebuilt engine and its the only 2wd I've seen with low range. Anyway the rear caliper was missing. I bought a used one but it was kinda locked up. I pulled the piston and the seals. I tried putting the seals back in with no luck. The seals go in the caliper not on the piston and the piston is smaller than my thumb so its real hard to reach in there. I was able to find a NOS piston and seal kit on ebay for $18 so thats on the way but I don't think its going to be any easier. Anyone have any tips on this? I think 1988 is about a 1 year only caliper. The older ones were cable and starting in 1989 they added the hook up for the foot brake. Anyone know if a newer caliper will bolt up? I know the calipers are different but if the bolt spacing is the same it should still bolt up. Thanks.
