My 1994 magnum 425 atv dies when i go up an extended hill. short hills, no problem. If I turn around and face downhill, it starts back up and I can travel uphill going backwards. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Apple Cup...Bad. But, we knew it was coming, so I am ok with it for this year.

I'm not much of a mechanic (which is why I am here asking for help). Is that an easy thing to fix?

Yes I would the check the carb, maybe buy a kit and replace the needle and seat. Should come in the kit. If the float needle is not working proper then it would not allow the proper amount of fuel into the carb. It could be sucking the bowl dry or flooding it out on the steep hills.
Its easy to do but depending on skill level you might look for a friend or a shop to do the work for you.
