I recently purchase a 1996 polaris sportsman 400 4x4 2 stroke. I was trying to purchase a 2" lift kit for the bike and have only come across a front end lift kit. the bike has a soild rear swing arm rear. does any one know how to lift the rear or a kit that I can get?

First off, welcome to the board!

For two inch just extent the shock mount, it will push the swing arm down creating your lift.

I was able to get a front and rear 2" lift from superatv.com very nice and great service.

I also lifted my Quad with Superatv...it worked out nice....the rear hookup was lower brackets that fit on your shock mounts and a sway bar extention bolts...not sure if yours has that kind of setup....but all you have to do is extend the lower shocks mounts either from the top or bottom...and they have to be strong enough to hold....MUDDIE49
