Working on a 1999 scrambler, 500, no spark at the plug. Checked resistance at coil, (primary and secondary) both check to factory specs. CDI unit recently replaced. I checked the resistance, again ok. Measure voltage out of CDI to pos post on ciol, had a rannge of 40 to 80 volts, (digital volt meter). Not sure if this is to spec. Anyone know what it should be?

Hey, Sorry to hear you are having the same problem as me, but glad I am not alone. I have changed my CDI, Coil and Voltage Regulator. How do you check your stator resistance? Do you have the specs and colors of wires to test? Have you ever tested or checked your rev limiter? I am wondering if that could be my problem too (if it can limit the revs if it fries can it not eliminate the spark totally????). Please let me know if you find out the prob and I will do the same.
