I've replaced both bearings in the axle tube and installed new seal. I "think" I reinstalled the rear axle shaft about 1/8th inch further to the passenger (right facing the rear of the ATV) side than it was when it was moved for bearing replacement. There didn't seem to be a limit to the left slide when reinstalling. Brake caliper and pads seemed to be fine with this bit of movement. Is 1/8th anything to be concerned about? Overthinking this?

Bad bearings may have allowed the axle to be out of position - as long as the axle tightens to spec and does not bind, then there is nothing to be concerned about.

Doesn't bind and as I recall the castle nut on the left side was loose on removal.
