Hey guys I have a 2000 Polaris Xplorer 400 liquid cooled 2 stroke. My brother in law has a junk Sportsman 400 4 stroke. My wheeler has a solid, chain driven rear axle with the shaft front and my brother in laws is shaft all the way around with the independent rear suspension. I may have the opportunity to buy his wheeler for dirt cheap, my question for you guys is this, will my motor fit into his machine? I'd rather have the independent rear suspension for ground clearance and shaft drive so I don't have to mess with the chain. His wheeler is complete minus the motor and mine is a running driving machine. To me shaft is better, easier to lift, rides better, and I wouldn't have to mess with adjusting the chain. Any information would be helpful.
