I have a 2000 Polaris Xplorer 400 that will not start from pull start or electric start. Battery is new, all the lights work so it has power. I drove it an hour previous (started in half a crank with electric start) then parked it and let it sit, went to put it away and nothing. Usually I can pull start it in less than 5 pulls with the old dead battery in there but I can't even do that.. the electric starter switch is in the correct center position and when i push it up to start it doesn't make a sound or do anything. I was wondering if there was a specific fuse or something I am missing. Thanks for the help.

P.S. If this is in the wrong forum I apologize, I am new to the site

My 01 explorer 400 has an issue with the start button as well. It works when it wants too. Normally works better after a small shot of WD 40. I'm guessing some sort of connection in the switch.

Also try putting a new plug in it to help with pull starting. Plug maybe fouled. If pull starting it I'm not sure you even need a battery in it that is even alive to start and run.
