Remove the outer shaft and then use a flat pry-bar on the point between the diff. case and the axle and pry it out, there is a spring clip that retains the shaft.

axel problem

whats the easiest way to get the axels out of the diff. ?
I have an 04 500 ho my rear axels were seized...I mean seized in, remove you shaft from cv union closet to rear end by expandinding clip under boot on shaft,I had a poller made an 1/8 or so bigger pipe than the hub left over drill an weld 3 ..3/8 bolts on edge of pipe and weld a good slid hammer on it,mine is about 2 ft long 1 in shaft, tightn bolts down around where boot fits grove and use puller. NOBODDY has a puller to do this not polaris ,yamaha....no one. I had pulled so hard while the axel was still attached, pulled both axels out of hubs,no more!!
