2003 Polaris Magnum 330 Repair Manual or Electrical Diagram

For the love of Polaris, does anyone have a “FREE” and “COMPLETE” repair manual or electrical diagram for the 2003/2004 Polaris Magnum 330? There was a slight variation between those two years. Either should be fine. I’ve downloaded 2 manuals at $6 and $10 each, which were WRONG WRONG WRONG - not even same 4 wheeler. I got this for my wife as a 2020 Christmas gift thinking I’d have it up and running in a week. It is now July 2021…….I think it had Covid! Someone please assist me. I’d love the manual, but I’d settle for the wiring diagram as that is all ”I think” I have left to do……..(cross fingers). Let me know if you can assist. I’ll provide my email.

May I please get the service manual and wiring diagram for a 2003 Polaris Magnum 330 4x4?
I recently picked it up and there is a gremlin in it somewhere. Sometimes it starts and runs fine, other times, the gear indicators don't light up and it won't crank with the key but the headlights still work and there is 12v to the black wire on the CDI box.
Can you send me the service manual for the 2003 Magnum 330 2x4, please?

Sent you the manual - note: the black wire on the CDI box should not have 12v on it - the ignition is AC and the black wire is connected to ground to kill the engine

Thank you so much for the reply. This wiring is driving me batty.
The black wire from the CDI box runs to a spade connector with three black wires. One of those wires goes to the run/stop switch on the left handlebar, one goes to the key switch and one goes to the reverse speed limiter. When I unplug the spade terminal and test between the 3 wire side and ground, I get 12 volts if both the run/stop switch is in the run position and the key switch is turned on. Turning off either one drops the voltage to zero.
It appears to have a DC setup, doesn't it? All 3 yellow stator wires run to the voltage regulator. Aside from the two pulse coil wires and a brown ground, the only connections to the CDI are the black wire, ignition coil wire, and a R/W wire that comes from a shared pin on the regulator/rectifier. Is the R/W wire the power for the CDI? If it should have power when the switch is on and the black one should not, the problem will be someplace the black wire is contacting switched power. Is that right?

Sorry, I tend to work from memory and working on one is different from explaining how to work on one.

I actually looked at the wiring diagram and see that your's is indeed a DC ignition with two methods of killing the spark. The CDI unit brn/red wire plugs into the chassis red/wht wire - red/wht is switched 12vdc. You can kill the spark by either disconnecting the 12vdc or grounding the black wire.

The black wire goes to the throttle safety switch, the reverse speed limiter and the LH handlebar switch - all three connect blk to brown to kill the spark. The only way you can read 12v on the black wire is if there is a faulty ground and the ground is back feeding the brown wire looking for ground. You need to inspect and verify all the ground connections. Unplugging the black wire from the CDI unit and having the key switch and handle bar switch off will disconnect black from brown and the back fed 12v will disappear, but you might still get 12v from the brown wire back to the battery neg post.

Thank you again!
We went through all of the wire terminations, cleaned them up as we went, and even pulled the wires out of the harness to make sure nothing was wrong with them.If you hold the forwardmost wire connector on the LH Control switch just right, it'll fire right up.
I ordered a new LH switch and will clean the connector.
Thank you again for your help. Whatever bad thing is happening seems to be happening there so, I'll just change all of it.

hello I am new to forum, I acquired a Magnum 330 when we bought our farm last year. I’m not sure what year it is but I’m thinking an 04. It ran fine until about a month ago I couldn’t start it. Between my husband and son in law they were able to jumper between two wires and get it to start once but can’t remember what they did. Anyway we replaced the ignition switch and control module but still can’t get it started. I would appreciate any guidance and any hints as to where to find a manufacture date on the four wheeler.

A single reply or start of a new thread is all that is needed to get someone's attention here. I deleted your other response.

If it's an 04 or close to it you need to find the VIN - 17 digits in length usually starting 4XA - it's located on the lower left frame tube somewhat in front of the floorboard and behind the left front wheel.

I’m sorry I didn’t mean to send more than one, I thought I had deleted the attempts. Thanks for the information I’ll look there and get back to you.
If the 10th digit tells me the year it is an 05
OK - so describe the actual problem - it cranks or does not engage the starter motor - or nothing lights up - or it clicks but the starter motor does not run - or the starter motro runs but it does not turn the engine?

Nothing lights up. No clicks, nothing happens.

Do you have a multi-meter or test light?

Yes my husband is an electrician he had me test all the different contacts in the big relay that plugs into the control module. But he said he’s good with house wiring but not so much on vehicles so any guidance is appreciated.

First assure the battery has 12v - then check for 12v on the orange wire at the key switch - if the orange wire has 12v, turn the key on and check for 12v on the red/blk wire - if the orange wire does not have 12v, check for 12v on the red wires (@20 and 21) at the SSCB control module.
