Hi, Ive done alot of work to this quad but when i went to jump start the quad which i didnt have any luck with as the leads are bad, i charged the battery instead, when i put the battery back in i have absolutely no power, no lights, no power coming out of the relay, no power to circuit breakers. This screams a fuse has gone maybe? I cant find fuses anywhere.. Does this model have a fuse? If so where can i find it..

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help...

No fuses - one circuit breaker after the key switch.

Check for power on the red wire at the key switch - no power, a broken wire, bad connection at the battery, a bad battery or other faulty or incorrect connection.

Thanks, appreciate your reply!

ok great.
I tested the power to the key, I got 12 volts from one of the red wires. there is a row of them.

Does this mean it may be a circuit breaker?
I think I've found 3 circuit breakers, 2 at the front and one at the back beside battery.

I've attached photos. There is two breakers in the first photo.

thanks

OK - there are 2 red wires on the key switch

with power on the red wires turn the switch on and check for 12v on the red wires with the white stripe (two go to same terminal) - if there is not 12v on the red/wht wires then chase the red/blk wire #22 - either the circuit breaker near the battery has failed or the problem, is at the connections of the LH handlebar switch or the RUN/STOP or OFF/ON is not in the on or run position.

Let me know what you discover and when you have power on the red/wht wire.

Wire #22 goes to the main circuit breaker located near the battery where it splits into wires 32 and 52 (continued below)

In case you are wondering; wire #20 from the battery goes to the rec/reg where it turns into wire 21 - 21 goes to the key switch where it splits into wire #45 (not an issue at this point)

Wires 32 and 52 run parallel to the LH handlebar switch - when the switch is in the RUN or ON position, it feeds red/wht wire #24 - #24 goes back to the key switch where it splits to wire #23 - wire 23 feeds all the DC powered circuits.

For testing unplug the key switch and jump red to red/wht - if things power up, you can jump red/wht to wht/red to check the starter circuit.

Keep me informed of you progress.

Hi, this was massive help as I couldn't find accurate diagrams.

Ok I have tested the wires at the key, only wire (D) is giving me 12 volts, the rest zero.

I've opened the baggy circuit breaker near the battery beside the accessory plug and its all rusted, maybe this is the issue?

Although the issue didn't start until I jump starter quad and charged battery.

I meant to also say,

So wire 20 comes straight from the battery, into the regulator and from there turns into 21r and runs to the key and splits into 45 (which is slot "D" ) slot D is black and red wire though so did it split off somewhere else?

Does this mean I need to test regulator? hopefully I can do so without taking it off.

@latebird is it most likely i have a circuit breaker gone? If so, these types of 20amp breakers are very hard to get in the UK, could i just use any breaker thats 20amp like the link below?

Wire #45 goes to the speedo to maintain memory and time - #45 is of no concern at this point.

The regulator does no need tested and is of no concern in getting the system to power up.

Might want to recheck the wire colors - 21 is red and splits to #45 (also red) and is on slot D of the connector - when the switch is turned on, it connects RED to RED/BLK on slot C - when RED/BLK has 12v on it, wire #22 goes to the circuit breaker near the battery - wire #30 goes to the power outlet - if the breaker is suspect, simply jump it to see if the system powers up and replace the breaker with any in line 20 amp fuse or circuit breaker.

Yes, the Amazon CB will work - any available inline breaker will protect the wiring (which is what it is there for)
