Hi everyone,
I just bought my first four wheeler and probably should have took someone who
Knew what to look for. It was snowing when I bought it an I thought seemed to be running good. When the snow melted and I took if out it will only go about twenty miles an hour. Something def doesn't seem right. It seems like it should be shifting gears. I have it in high. I guess my question is should it noticeably be shifting gears and what could make it run slow? It fires right up and sounds good to me.

You won't feel it shift, the motor will rev to a point and kind of stay there and the quad should keep accelerating. It's a constantly variable transmission so instead of fixed gears it constantly adjust the ratio to give you the power you need. If your only topping out at 20, my guess is the cvt belt is worn out and slipping. But don't worry, it's not all that hard to replace. Do a you tube search on replacing cvtbelt on your bike, or actually you can probably do a search on here. I bet if you replace the belt you will see a huge difference!

You should be able to go faster than that in low range.
